I am pleased to provide a reference for Ivan, a Slovakian who worked for us as a gardener for over 6 years. Ours is a large suburban garden of well over an acre, with a large lawn, flower and shrub borders and a vegetable garden. There is also a perimeter of woodland with some large forest trees, saplings and shrubs. Ivan is strong and hard working, with good previous experience of forestry, who is capable with vegetable cultivation and various useful activities including fencing and handiwork. He is good with machinery and its maintenance and woodwork. His English is excellent and he is eager to increase his knowledge of flowers and shrubs. He takes well to new projects, and he has energetically transformed scrubby areas of garden into more attractive areas of landscapes.
